Govt of Punjab is not at all paying attention to archaeology of Punjab. About a 1000 mounds scattered all over Punjab are being destroyed by the neighbour farmers. All this is happening right under the nose of Govt officials. They are rather hand in glove in this dubious activity. Here is an article from Jan. 2002 issue of Punjab Monitor. It is in Punjabi. The image you see at top of the page belongs to the historical mound of HARSA CHHINA which is mentioned in the Heun Tsongs travels and is duly identified Sir Alexander Cunnigham the father of Indian Archaeology.

VISAHGHAT DI DASTAAN: TALE OF HIMALAYAN BETRAYAL (Punjabi)

This is the story of betrayal of Sikhs by the Congress Hindu leaders who promised them moon at the time of Partition in 1947. Immediately after the India got freedom the Congress leaders turned their faces away shamelessly commenting, "Now the circumstances are changed."
This is what we published in Jan. 2002.
