There is a lot of misunderstanding about Sikh-Muslim relations. Vested interests have deliberately publicised rumours that Guru had advised the Sikhs to never rely on Muslim word. The Sikhs come to believe such things because in history they have witnessed a lot of tyranny at the hands of Muslims who were incidentally rulers at that time. Three Guru sahiban (namely 5, 9 & 10) were assassinated. Not with standing all this there a great positive aspect available in history. Read this in Punjabi.

On the auspicious day of Vaisakhi 2004 a descendent of Mughal emperors of medieval times came to Golden Temple and approached the Akal Takhat Jathedar to publicly apologize for the excesses done by Mughal Govt on the Sikh Gurus. Sultana Begum who is passing the days of utter misery and runs a make shift tea stall near Hawra Calcutta Rly. Station feels that the cause of the down fall of the Mughals are the excesses done by Mughal Govt on Gurus, saints and fakirs. Unfortunately the priests at SGPC completely ignored Sultana Begum.
