BEANT, SATWANT & KEHAR- REMEMBERING THE BRAVE SONS OF GURU

With the brute majority when a tyrant ruler desecrates the religious sentiments of a microscopic minority and plans genocide, the minority then had no other way to punish the tyrant by way of ambushes and that is what these martyrs of Sikh nation did on Oct. 31, 1984.

NO DIWALI CELEBRATIONS THIS YEAR

NO DIWALI CELEBRATIONS THIS YEAR

On Nov. 3, 1984, thousands of Sikh girls and women were openly being raped. Thousands of Sikhs were being tortured to death. Our ruler has not given us justice despite 29 years because they had done it deliberately. Incidentally this year the great festival Diwali falls on Nov. 3.
Thus as a respect to my Delhi brothers and sisters who were tyrranised on that day, I will not celebrate this Diwali.
Though the Shromani Gurdwara Committee has clarified that they would celebrate it, notwithstanding. I can assume that they have many limitations as a ruler but fortunately I am free man and have no such limitations. Therefore at least I will not celebrate.
Also Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana who has been declared by Sri Akal Takhat as 'Jinda Shaheed' the LIVING MARTYR has appealed to Sikh nation that this Diwali be not celebrated. I also thus bow to the appeal of this martyr who has sacrificed his life for the dignity of Sikh nation.
I therefore also appeal my brothers and sisters please comply with the appeal of Bhai Rajoana. Please forward this message to every Sikh in your connection.

A PAKISTANI SCHOLAR ON GURU NANAK

A PAKISTANI SCHOLAR ON GURU NANAK- VERY INTERESTING VIEWS

Dr. Manzur Ejaz the Pakistani scholar  opines how the founder of Sikhism is different from other bhagats of Bhagti Movement? Why the Sikhs are in conflict with state?  Equality of male & female in Sikhism? Langar of Sikhs? Casteism in Sikhs? Why Nanak's faith spread only in Punjab? Why only depressed classes were attracted towards Sikhism? Nanak & Farid? Nanak & Sufis? Nanak & Islam? Did Nanak realise that he was founding a new religion? (We feel the scholar as erred on the last question as Guru Nanak had himself institutionalised his faith by appointing the successor other than from family, concept of Sangat and founding of Kartarpur (Ravi) as headquarters and his declaration that he is neither Hindu nor a Muslim. On the whole it is unbiased and interesting interview)
It is 60 minutes long interview

Says Nanak there no question of being high or low

Sunday, 6 October 2013

"Says Nanak, there no question of being high or low"

I used to be an angry man. Whenever I would find some body doing wrong thing I would get angry. Once we caught a thief and thrashed him to the extent that he became senseless. Whenever my own child would not understand some issue I would get angry at him. Later I happen to read Guru Nanak and there I got the idea that things are not quite in the control of an individual. Guru the teacher taught me that this life and universe is a drama enacted by Nirankar the Formless God. Every individual, every creature has been assigned a different role. So we act accordingly. There I realised my limits, what could I do if God had created my blind or lame or deaf? Simply it was not in my hand. Now my anger and ego has vanished to some extent. Now I no longer hate a thief, a stupid, a crook, a dishonest, a murderer. I feel pity for them. I feel thankful to God that he did not assign me a negative role.  Since we are created by the same great Father we should love each other.
I want to clarify here that the negative roles do get punishment also while the positive are honoured in society.
Why I raise this issue is because once my relative who was doing a wrong thing and when I alerted him he raised the issue of 'Within His will" saying that God alone was getting the thing done by him. I then clarified that get ready for the punishment also.

Says Nanak,
Countless Your fools, blinded by ignorance. Countless thieves and embezzlers. Countless impose their will by force. Countless cut-throats and ruthless killers. Countless sinners who keep on sinning. Countless liars, wandering lost in their lies. Countless wretches, eating filth as their ration. Countless slanderers, carrying the weight of their stupid mistakes on their heads. Nanak describes the state of the lowly. I cannot even once be a sacrifice to You. Whatever pleases You is the only good done, You, Eternal and Formless One.

NB- PLEASE  if u have any question raise it right here. We will be pleased to explain with what ever little wisdom we have.
