Nirpreet Kaur is a name which could not be bought even for 3 crores for a length of 29 years. The true daughter of Guru Gobind Singh undertook the fast unto death to prick the dead conscience of Indians who have been denying her justice for the past 29 years. Her father was butchered before her eyes in Nov.1984. Thus despite being a witness to the gruesome murder the murderers have not been brought to book. Not even arrested for a day. Because they happen to be of the ruling party or to be frank they belonged to majority community. | |

This iron lady was tried to be bought. She was offered Rs. 3 crore to turn hostile in the case and say that Sajjan Kumar was not involved in the murder. H.S.Hanspal was trying to mediate in the issue. At the bottom of this page please see the video where he is asking her to see Sajjan Kumar for a deal.
This also shows what is the status of Sikh members of Minority Commission. Can we say they are mere commission agents of Govt of India? At least this video proves it. Such is the Indian democracy. Minority Commission members were supposed to protect the rights of minorities but eh Govt uses them as agents.
But she is such a lady who could refuse to any body any politician be if P.S.Badal or Sukhbir Badal. But remember there is a difference between Indian Govt and British Govt of the bye gone days. Indian Govt knows the pulse of Sikhs. They know that no body can refuse any demand from the Jathedar of Akal Takhat.
The leaders thus took the Jathedar also with them. And obviously she could not say no. And her father was killed once more. This time at the hands of Sikh tools of Govt of India.
In the case of Nirpreet the Govt won double victory. Besides killing the fast the Govt also succeeded in lowering the prestige of Akal Takhat.
For this I blame Master Tara Singh who accepted the present set up under Indian Govt. ignoring the universal principle that no two nations can live together peacefully. I thus don’t blame our present leaders. Because they are in a system. They have to survive. Every body can’t be patriot. I pity them. Since the Sikhs claim themselves a status of nation for them. Naturally the Sikh leaders under the present set up would be walking on a tight rope. Managing both the Indian Govt and the Sikh sentiments. In spite of all this I would of course lay some blame on the Akal Takhat Jathedar. He definitely erred.
Jathedar Akal Takhat is the centre of Sikh strength. He has to move according to the Sikh sentiments. Whether the sentiments are right or wrong he is supposed to represent them. And for this there is well laid down convention. The tradition of Gurmata i.e resolution by a body. Without the power of Gurmata Jathedar Gurbachan Singh is merely a jathedar. The Jathedar as an individual has no powers. He is otherwise an ordinary Granthi or a Jathedar. But he has a power to convene meeting where Gurmata on a particular issue could be resolved. In Sikh traditions who so ever moved unilaterally has been condemned with such terms as ‘mahant’.
But in this case where Giani Gurbachan Singh did order Bibi Nirpreet Kaur to break fast no Gurmata was resolved. No meeting of Jathedars ever took place. Thus Giani Gurbachan Singh was wrong here. He could have refused that unless there is gurmata he can’t order any body. I am told he is of the kind who would prostrate when they are expected to sit.
BUT WHAT AFTER ALL IS THE SOLUTION– All I have stressing upon is that what the Sikh leaders can’t do in India the Sikh Diaspora abroad can do. They should organize themselves and assert. Remember these agents of Govt of India are surely scared of the Diaspora. The overseas Sikhs are thus the only hope. They should behave responsibly and identify Govt touts in their bodies.

Delhi riots witness Nirpreet Kaur puts Akal Takht Jathedar in dock
JALANDHAR: NirpreetKaur, a crucial witness against Congress
leader Sajjan Kumar who sat on a fast at JantarMantar in Delhi for six days to
protest against Sajjan's acquittal by a Delhi court, has written a very strong
worded letter to AkalTakhtJathedarGurbachan Singh while criticizing him for
forcing her to end her fast with his "directive" without any results
and rather doing what the union government wanted — to get the hunger strike
ended in view of building public pressure and embarrassment caused by it.
While Akal Takht Jathedar had claimed that Sikh maryada did
not sanction fasts, Nirpreet has recalled hunger strikes by senior Akali
leaders including one by current Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee
(DSGMC) Majit Singh GK's father, late Jathedar Santokh Singh who drive home the
point that hunger strikes had been a tool which was even used by revered
spiritualist and freedom fighter Bhai Randhir Singh.
In the letter written in Punjabi, Nirpreet, who lost her
father in the massacre and has been most active and vocal among the victims to
seek justice, has even asked the Jathedar to reveal that who else was involved
in the conspiracy to end her fast without achieving any results that too when
union government was facing pressure and was desperate for getting the hunger
strike ended.
She alleged that neither she nor any other activists who
were instrumental in organizing the hunger strike were consulted by the
Jathedar and none was even hinted about it. "Jathedar suddenly announced
that fast was against Sikh maryada and directed her to end it and offered her a
glass of juice.
Notably when all this happened Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal
and Dy CM Sukhbir badal were also present apart from other senior Akali leaders
and DSGMC leadership.
Nirpreet has clarified in the letter that while it was Aam
Admi Party founder Arvind Kejriwal who joined her on the first day of the fast
DSGMC later supported and then other organizations also started extending
support and what started as a small effort soon became a big movement with
Sikhs in other parts of the country also holding protesting much to the
uncomfort of the union government.
She has asked the Jathedar that if he could not be part of
the struggle by the Sikhs to get justice he should not sabotage such struggles
by invoking the authority of his post.
"I think you did not come there to help Sikhs to get
justice but to show to the (union) government that you were with them while
leaving the victims in the lurch," Nirpreet alleged in the letter.
She recalled that it was not fort the first time that Sikhs
were resorting to hunger strike even Darshan Singh Pheruman resorted to the
same and sacrificed his life for the sake of Punjabi Suba and late Jathedar
Santokh Singh sat on hunger strike when Baba Virsa Singh took possession of
gurudwara Sees Ganj.
Hawan Kund
In 1960s the then SAD president late Sant Fateh Singh, who
was CM Parkash Singh Badal's mentor and made him CM in 1970, also sat on hunger
strike and even prepared Hawan Kund (fire place) to immolate himself in 1960s
while agitating for Punjabi Suba. However later he backtracked from his
announcement.

NEW DELHI (May 9, 2013)–After holding a fast for 6 days, Bibi Nirpreet Kaur finally gave in to the pressure by Giani Gurbachan Singh, Jathedar Sri Akal Takhat Sahib. Bibi Nirpreet Kaur is an eye witness against Sajjan Kumar. She had announced to go on hunger strike for an indefinite period at the Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.
Jathehdar, Giani Gurbachan Singh expressed his gratitude towards the delegates of various parties including Samajwadi Party, BJP, Shiv Sena, Rashtri Janta Dal, Biju Janta Dal, Janta Dal United and Aam Aadmi Party for showing their support and concern.
The hunger strike by Bibi Nirpreet Kaur has been totally ignored by India media and Congress. No major TV station provided coverage despite the fact that it lasted over 6 days in the extreme heat of New Delhi.
Bibi Ji’s health was deteriorating and she had been continuously vomiting. Despite such hardships, Bibi Nirpreet Kaur remained committed to fight against injustice.
Punjab CM Parkash Badal and Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal also played a big role in convincing Bibi Nirpreet Kaur to end her indefinite fast and assured the fulfilment of her demands after meeting President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. It is important to note that various BJP, RSS and Shiv Sena delegates are said to have accompanied the Punjab CM in his meeting with Manmohan Singh.
Parkash Badal shamelessly expressed his appreciation towards her valiant efforts to fight against injustice and assured her that she would get full support from their party. At the end of the day, Badal secured more support for his political party but failed to provide justice to his community.
Badal alleged that the SAD and DSGMC would soon approach the Supreme Court seeking the formation of Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the pogroms of 1984 and to complete the investigation within the given time period of 3 months. Although Badal is providing a helping hand to victims of 1984, where was he when BJP was in power but remained quiet over 1984 anti-Sikh pogrom?
After breaking her fast, Bibi Nirpreet Kaur told the press that she was given ‘adesh’ by Giani Gurbachan Singh to break her fast. She was told that all Sikhs are to comply with directions passed by the Akal Takhat Sahib. Interestingly, Journalist Jarnail Singh and Arvind Kejriwal were not present when the fast was broken. They had accompanied Bibi Nirpreet Kaur for past 6 days.

HS Hasnpal was caught on cam trying to persuade Nirpreet Kaur, 84 Anti Sikh Genocide victim to meet Sajjan kumar for compensation. Hanspal is a Minority commission member. Later he shamelessly denied meeting Nirpreet kaur and also was found making contradictory statements. He is not the first one who has tried to influence victims and sabotage November 84 riot case. This has been going on for the past 25 years.
