WHY CONGRESS IS SILENT ON THE BURNING ISSUES OF PUNJAB
Punjab Congress has always played a villain's role on the burning issues of Punjab. They believe every thing is fair in politics. Look in the present case of issue of:
Release of prisoners who have completed their jail termSome Sikhs have undertaken fast unto death for this legitimate and humanitarian issue. But the Congress has become silent on this principled stand. Because it has no courage. Because on one side is the matter of principle and the other is their divisive policy to please a certain section of society. So they maintain a double face: a villains face, people in chaste Punjabi call it a 'do mooha sapp' the double head snake. Right from the days of 1947 it pursued the policy of creating a cleavage between Sikhs and Hindus. So whenever issue of the unity of Punjabis arrives Congress becomes silent.
On the other the Akali Dal has accepted slavery and in principle they don't say a word which it thinks will displease the Centre.
