WHEN GURU HIMSELF BUILT A MOSQUE
Sikhism believes that the whole creation is the image of formless God Himself. Thus there is no room for hate. Naturally you can't hate a person who worship God in some weird way like he worships the clouds, the trees or sun or moon. Though it becomes the duty of the illuminated soul to impart knowledge about the formless God but you can't force any body. Sikhism tells that this universe is a drama created by God. Thus you can't imagine the universal drama without evil. Thus a thief, a murderer, a thug every body is performing in the will of God. Thus you can hate any body. Rather you are to love every body. You are to respect others sentiments; to have pity on evil doer because he is to be punished one day, because he is no other choice.
Naturally Guru will be delighted to see if some one really worships the formless God. It were these principles under which Guru himself constructed a mosque for Muslims of Sri Hargobindpur a town on the bank of river Beas in district Gurdaspur. You go there in that town and you will feel you are in history because there are so many old monuments. You realise that the town had a glory in the past.
