By the year 1800 there were very very few temples. But there were two religions here: Islam & Hinduism. The Hindu in those days believed in Gurus but their culture was Hinduism. Will you believe leaders of Punjabi society namely Punjabi Khatris, Mujhail Brahmins etc. were then believer of Nirankar the formless God of the Gurus?
